Thriving on Art is a community empowerment program designed to address unemployment, poverty, and limited access to creative opportunities. By harnessing art as a tool for social change, the program equips youth and local artisans with practical skills, encourages creative entrepreneurship, and fosters innovation. Activities range from collaborative public art projects to small-scale creative enterprises, all led by experienced artists working alongside communities.
Many communities in Uganda face youth unemployment, limited skills training, and few opportunities to leverage creativity for income generation. This limits economic growth and suppresses the potential for cultural innovation.”
Dormi Arts Initiative brings together artists, artisans, and volunteers to provide structured programs that foster skill development, entrepreneurship, and community participation. Our expertise ensures that creative talents are nurtured while delivering tangible social and economic benefits.
